Dan Saulter, Chief Executive Officer

A founder director of Towergate Financial, Dan is the Chief Executive, having worked with Towergate since 2007.

A Chartered Accountant, Dan trained with KPMG in London working in Consulting & Corporate Finance.

Prior to this Dan worked internationally with Shell and OOCL. Before joining Towergate Dan was a director with Accountants and Advisors PKF, originating and executing corporate transactions across the UK.

Warren Page, Chief Operating Officer

Warren joined Towergate Financial as COO in January 2012. His previous role was Director, Client Services within another independent advisory business, with the key responsibility of leading the client facing team throughout the UK

Warren has over 25 years experience working within financial services in various roles including; consultancy, advisory, proposition development and leadership. He is a qualified advisor and has significant experience in building, developing and leading national advisory teams.

Graham Johnston, Compliance & Risk Director

Graham has over 20 years experience in the financial services industry including 12 years in senior compliance and risk management roles.

Graham joined Towergate Financial from Paymentshield, another company within the Towergate Group. Previous roles have included responsibility for compliance, fraud prevention and BASEL operational risk management at Lloyds TSB's mortgage division, Cheltenham and Gloucester. Prior to a compliance role at a major firm of stockbrokers Graham spent the initial eleven years of his career with Eagle Star Life and Pensions, now Zurich Financial Services.

Paul Chafer, Corporate Development Director

Paul has 25 years experience in Financial Services and prior to joining Towergate in 2008 held a number of senior positions within banks and building societies, including Commercial Director at the Stroud and Swindon Building Society where he was responsible for the Societies distribution channels and subsidiary property company. In his role as Corporate Development Director has is responsible for Acquisitions, Pensions Liability Management exercises and Building Society partnerships.

Drew Wotherspoons, Director of Marketing & Communication

Drew started his career in financial services when he joined Bradford & Bingley in March 2001 as a press officer to work on the newly created Marketplace at Bradford & Bingley brand. He also had additional responsibility for looking after the group's savings business. At the start of 2004 he was promoted to senior press officer.

In November 2004 he moved to become PR Manager for John Charcol with responsibility for the entire group press functions. In October 2005 he was appointed Head of Communications and then Director of Marketing in October 2008. He became Towergate Financial Group Director of Marketing and Communications in May 2011.

Walter Avrili, Managing Director of John Charcol

Walter Graduated in 1983 from University Of Lancaster with a degree in Politics & Law. Started work for John Charcol in January 1984, where he worked up from administration assistant into sales within 2 years. Held various senior positions, such as Sales Director and Chief Operating Officer. During Walter's time the company has been bought and sold many times.

The two main highlights in those years were heading up the launch of the first mortgage broker online website in November 1999 'Charcolonline' and the purchase of John Charcol by Bradford & Bingley where I was seconded to set up their nationwide mortgage broker network 'Marketplace' in 2001.

With the last sale in 2010 to insurance broker Towergate Walter became Managing Director of John Charcol and a member of the Towergate Financial Management Team.

Anne Vinestock, Finance Director

Anne joined Towergate Financial as Finance Director in September 2009. She has worked in the Towergate group for eight years in a number of roles, holding responsibility for several businesses and supporting acquisition integration, business closure, turnaround and process improvement programmes.

Anne is a CIMA member. She has worked in the UK and mainland Europe, moving overseas to implement SAP across the European divisions of large financial institutions.
